Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine - The Audacity of Hype
Jello Baifra was inspired by the Stooges gig on Iggy Pop's 60th birthday party in San Francisco so he planned his own birthday party and created his band. Originally called Jello Biafra and the Axis Of Merry Evildoers, the band consisted of Jello Biafra,Ralph Spight (Victims Family, Freak Accident, Hellworms), Jon Weiss (Sharkbait, Horsey), Billy Gould (Faith No More). They sold out the 2 concerts they played at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall. They got super excited by the response the shows generated and spent the next 9 months rehearsing and writing and added guitarist Kimo Ball (Freak Accident, Carneyball Johnson, Mol Triffid, Griddle) to their lineup. What came out was Audacity of Hype.
